1/26/23 - Mandatory Reporting
What we got wrong
In the past, we claimed that 75% (or "a majority") of mental health professionals wrongly believe that they are required to report non-offending MAPs. Upon further review, we have determined that this was a misinterpretation of the finding that 75% of mental health professionals believed they were required to report MAPs who were at risk of offending in regions where reporting is optional.
How we fixed it
Our website has been updated to more accurately state that 24% of mental health professionals would report a MAP who had never offended and did not want to.Â
